Hawks Cross Country Set For 2025 Season Slate
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Entering the program's first season with Coach Alex Cole at the helm, Huntingdon Cross Country has unveiled their 2025 season slate.
"We are ready to go", shared Cole about the two teams entering their schedule. " This is a hungry team that wants to get better everyday and in everything they do. I'm very excited to see how the season unfolds for each of them."
Last season, Huntingdon's men's team finished 6th overall in the CCS and the women finished 7th, with Seniors Blake Bailey and Kate Smith leading the way for each squad. With both student athletes graduating in 2025, the Hawks will turn to the leadership of Sophomore standout Dalan Bunn on the men's side, with Michaela Moore leading the women's team as she prepares for her junior season.
The Hawks open their season at the Foothills Invitational hosted by Division I Jacksonville State University on August 29th. They then travel to the state of Florida for the first time in program history as they compete in the Argonaut Invitational hosted by the University of West Florida on September 12th. Huntingdon closes out the month of September on the 26th, traveling to Huntsville, Alabama for the annual Twilight Meet at John Hunt Park.
In preparation for the CCS Championship on October 31st, the Hawks are set for two competitions in the earlier stages of October, kicking things off with a stop at Berry College on the 4th before traveling to Clinton, Mississippi for the Watson XC Invitational hosted by Division II Mississippi College.
