Hawks Can't Get Going Against Southern Virginia And Stevenson
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Closing out their first home tournament of the season, Huntingdon Beach Volleyball couldn't get going, falling 3-2 to Southern Virginia and 3-1 to Stevenson in their final pair of matches. See below for the full results.
Match One- Southern Virginia-3, Huntingdon-2
- Morgan Suggs and Carryne Chancey defeated Gabe Hale and Brook Madland 21-12 and 21-16
- Destin Roberts and Kinsley Martin were defeated by Lallie Tuckfield and Tiara Puriri 21-15 and 21-10
- Jenna Dupee and Molly Wilson were defeated by Brynn Keeling and Charity Elam in three sets, claiming the first 21-15 before dropping the next two 21-11 and 15-10
- Cheyenne Ashworth and A'Kirra McElveen defeated Ann Downs and Mirri Prows in three sets, winning the first 21-11, dropping the second 21-13, and winning the third 15-8
- Sara Cochran and Lauren Mason were defeated by Baylee Savage and Emily Peterson 21-12 and 21-14
- Mileah Prince, Hannah Rutherford, and Maycie Black defeated Hallee Almond and Hannah Welch 21-15 and 21-16 in the exhibition match
Match Two- Stevenson-3, Huntingdon-1
- Morgan Suggs and Kinsley Martin's match against Gulea Veglietta and Nicollette Fuglestad was trunicated
- Jenna Dupee and Destin Roberts were defeated by Kylie DeSlauriers and Sima Kahassi 21-11 and 21-17
- Cheyenne Ashworth and A'Kirra McElveen defeated Scarlett Dunn and Courtney Foose in three sets, winning the first 21-16, losing the seocnd 21-19, but winning the third 15-13
- Hannah Rutherford and Mileah Prince were defeated by Claire Thompson and Rachel Lene 21-16 and 21-14
- Maycie Black, McKayla Lawrence, Sara Cochran, and Carlee Cooper's match against Maren Zepeel and Bella Terra was not completed
The Hawks will return to action on Wednesday, February 25th at the University of Mobile. Matches are set to begin at 5:00 PM CT.
