Beach Volleyball Splits Matches With LaGrange And Berry

GULF SHORES, Ala.- Continuing their weekend of competition in South Alabama, Huntingdon Beach Volleyball kicked off the Badger Beach Bash hosted by Spring Hill College with a 1-1 record, leading things off with a 3-2 win over LaGrange before falling to Berry 4-1. Match One v. LaGrange

  1. Morgan Suggs and Kinsley Martin were defeated by Julia Damico and Alex Krabs 21-13 and 21-18
  2. Molly Wilson and Carryne Chancey defeated Isabella Zenthovich and Kaitlyn Smith 17-21, 21-15, and 15-6
  3. Cheyenne Ashworth and A'Kirra McElveen defeated Jasmine Gross and Akajah Burton 27-25, 10-21, and 15-4
  4. Jenna Dupee and Destin Roberts defeated Danika Durham and Kaitlin Gilchrist 21-12, 26-28, and 15-10
  5. Lauren Mason and Gracie Wallace were defeated by Riley Curtis and Ella Kahikine 21-16, 19-21, and 8-15

Match Two v. Berry

  1. Morgan Suggs and Kinsley Martin defeated Madie Whitehead and Kara Schmit 18-21, 21-11, and 16-14
  2. Carryne Chancey and Molly Wilson were defeated by Becky Blades and Keira Kruk 18-21, 21-16, and 13-15
  3. Cheyenne Ashworth and A'Kirra McElveen were defeated by Kaylee Howell and Ailee England 21-13 and 21-12
  4. Jenna Dupee and Destin Roberts were defeated by Kat Kelyman and Sabine Rudolph 21-15 and 21-10
  5. Lauren Mason and Gracie Wallace were defeated by Riley Kessler and Maddy Hoffman 21-10 and 21-7

The Hawks return to action in Gulf Shores tomorrow, February 28th, as they take on Erskine and Spring Hill. Matches are set for 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM CT.
