Hawks Take 4th Seed, Set To Battle Maryville In CCS Tournament First Round

ATLANTA, Ga.-  The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced the bracket and seedings for the 2026 CCS Baseball Championship Tournament, set for Wednesday, April 29 through Saturday, May 2 at Trustmark Park.

Tournament play begins Wednesday, April 29, with three opening-round matchups:

  • No. 2 seed Belhaven (28-11, 12-6 CCS) faces No. 5 seed LaGrange (18-18, 7-11 CCS) to open the tournament.
  • No. 1 seed Piedmont (26-13, 12-6 CCS) takes on No. 6 seed Asbury (14-26, 7-11 CCS) in the second game of the day.
  • No. 3 seed Maryville (26-14, 10-8 CCS) meets No. 4 seed Huntingdon (24-14, 9-9 CCS) to close out opening-day action.

Piedmont secured the top seed after winning the head-to-head tiebreaker over Belhaven during the regular season, while Maryville earned the No. 3 seed with a head-to-head advantage over Huntingdon. LaGrange claimed the No. 5 seed based on their regular season results against Asbury.

Action continues Thursday, April 30, as teams advance through the double-elimination bracket, with games scheduled for 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m. Non-advancing teams from the opening round will continue play earlier in the day, battling to stay alive in the championship chase.

The tournament will culminate on Saturday, May 2, when one team will emerge as the 2026 CCS Baseball Champion at Trustmark Park.
