Jake White And Timothy McReynolds Earn USA South Weekly Honors

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The USA South Athletic Conference has unveiled their weekly football awards for the third week of the season.

Huntingdon freshman quarterback Jake White was named the conference's offensive rookie of the week, while junior Timothy McReynolds was named the special teams player of the week.

As for White, The Gardendale, Alabama native made his first collegiate appearance and start, tossed one touchdown in a 49-28 victory over USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan last week. White was 11-of-18 through the air with 169 yards. 

As Huntingdon's punt returner, McReynolds took one 87 yards to the endzone in the second quarter of a 49-28 win over USA South foe N.C. Wesleyan last week. McReynolds' touchdown gave the Hawks a 28-7 halftime lead. He also returned another punt 58 yards, setting Huntingdon to score the first touchdown of the game.

White and McReynolds look to lead the Hawks to victory on September 28th, traveling to face Hendrix. Gametime is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
