Jack Burr Named April 2024 SwingU DIII Golfer Of The Month

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- Huntingdon men's golfer Jack Burr has been named the SwingU April 2024 Golfer of the Month, announced by SwingU on May 9th.

Burr began April ranked 27th in the Scoreboard powered by Clippd NCAA Division III National Rankings but raised to 11th after finishing one shot back (67-70, -7) at the Wynlakes Invitational on April 2. The sophomore from Milton, Ga., recorded 13 birdies, including on his first four holes of the tournament, to help lead the Hawks to their 10-stroke team victory. At The Cochran Collegiate two weeks later, Burr used 11 birdies, including four on his bogey-free front nine during the first round, to win by three shots with a three-under 213 (72-72-69). He was named Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Golfer of the Week the next day (April 17) and CCS Golfer of the Year on May 6.
