Gover Tied For First, Hawks In Third After Two Rounds Of The Tartan Invitational
LIGONIER, Penn.- Returning to action after a two week hiatus, #6 Huntingdon Men's Golf took a trip to the Laurel Valley Golf Course in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, competing in the Tartan Invitational hosted by #4 Carnegie Mellon University.
Through 36 holes, the Hawks compiled a 15-over par team score of 591, placing them third in the field of 16 teams and only two strokes behind first place Rochester. Mat Gover currently serves as Huntingdon's front-runner, finishing in a tie for the first place spot. Gover opened the day with a first round score of 71(-1), before finishing the second round with a one stroke over-par score of 73. Cole Humphrey also finds himself inside the top 10 with Stephen Baker finishing just outside in a tie for 12th. See below for the Hawks full results from the opening two rounds.
