Cunningham And The Hawks Lead Through 36 At The Capitol Hill Classic
PRATTVILLE, Ala.- Hosting the annual Capitol City Classic at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Prattville, Alabama, #1 Huntingdon Men's Golf leads the field after the first two rounds.
Playing 36 holes today, the Hawks opened with a five-under par 283 before improving with a second round 282. Sitting 11 total strokes under par, Huntingdon leads second place Methodist University by four strokes. Placing 3 different golfers in the top 10 with the "A" team, the Hawks are led by Myles Cunningham. Cunningham's eight-under par day solidifies him at the top of the leaderboard, with Stephen Baker trailing closely behind in 5th, and Eli Kinsey rounding things out in 7th.
Huntingdon's "B" team also put together a solid performance, ending the day in the 4th place spot with rounds of 297(+9) and 285(-3). Mat Gover currently leads the squad in 11th with Connor Fitch and Owen Hadelman just behind him in 19th and 24th, respectively.
