Burr And Schreyer Headline Huntingdon's All-Conference Selections In Men's Golf

ATLANTA, Ga.- The best of the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has been recognized as the league announces its 2026 Men's Golf All-Conference awards. At the forefront is Huntingdon College's Jack Burr, who made conference history with his third consecutive Golfer of the Year selection after climbing to No. 6 in the national rankings this spring. Piedmont University's Braden Kiley turned in one of the most impressive freshman campaigns, earning Rookie of the Year honors, while Huntingdon's Dave Schreyer was voted Coach of the Year by his peers after a dominant season on the sidelines.

Golfer of the Year | Jack Burr, Huntingdon

Jack Burr, Huntingdon's four-time First Team All-CCS selection, claimed his third consecutive CCS Golfer of the Year award following one of the most accomplished individual seasons in conference history. Burr closed the year ranked No. 6 nationally and No. 5 regionally, punctuating his spring with an individual championship at the 2026 CCS Men's Golf Championship — making him just the third Huntingdon player to capture that title. Burr posted a 70.0 scoring average across 28 rounds and recorded five top five finishes on the season. He also extended his own records for CCS Player of the Week honors, bringing his career total to 11, the most in conference history.

Rookie of the Year | Braden Kiley, Piedmont

Braden Kelly, a first-year golfer with the Lions, earned CCS Rookie of the Year honors after a debut season that turned heads across the conference, becoming the first Piedmont player to earn the conference's top freshman honor. Kiley posted a 72.4 scoring average over 28 rounds, recorded two top five finishes and cracked the top 30 regionally. He also made history as a first-year, earning CCS Rookie of the Week honors five times — the most by any first-year player in conference history. His best performance came at the 2026 CCS Men's Golf Championship, where he tied for third.

Coach of the Year | Dave Schreyer, Huntingdon

Schreyer was voted CCS Coach of the Year by his peers after guiding the Hawks to the No. 1 ranking in both the region and the nation in Division III. Huntingdon collected five tournament victories this season, taking home titles at the Tartan Invitational, the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial Tournament, the Savannah Invitational, the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational and the Capital City Classic. The Hawks finished inside the top three as a team nine times and carried a 280.4 team scoring average across 28 rounds. Huntingdon also reached the final of the 2026 CCS Men's Golf Championship, finishing as runner-up.

The Hawks placed five on this year's all-conference team, followed by Piedmont who had four selections. Covenant rounds out this year's all-conference team with one selection.
