Men's Soccer Releases 2026 Season Slate

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Huntingdon Men's Soccer has released their 2026 season schedule as the program heads into the second season of the Robert Spain era.

Last season, the Hawks finished with a 2-12-3 record, securing the first CCS victory in program history in a 3-1 win at Piedmont. They also secured a win over Centenary while collecting draws against Warren Wilson, LaGrange, and Asbury.

Huntingdon opens the season in August with four preseason matches, the first being a public intersquad on the 13th at 7:00 PM CT. The Hawks follow up with matches against Point on the 15th, Alabama FC ECNL on the 21st, and Tuskegee on the 27th, all at home.

The Hawks regular season gets underway at the Samford Soccer Complex on Tuesday, September 1st as they welcome the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe University for a non-conference match. They then hit the road for a pair of matches against Rhodes and Ozarks on the 4th and 5th before returning home to face off with LaGrange on the 9th in a non-conference battle. A road match at Centenary on the 12th makes way for their neutral site contest on the 13th against Austin College, hosted in Shreveport, Louisiana, before Huntingdon hosts MUW and Warner for contests on the 16th and 19th.

CCS play opens on the 26th, as the Hawks travel to Covenant for a battle against the Scots in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. They close out the month of September on the 29th with a non-conference match against the nationally-ranked #4 Emory University Eagles. Huntingdon has faced off with the Eagles 8 times in the program's history, the last coming in the 2015 season.

Conference play resumes in October on the 3rd, as the Hawks host Piedmont University. This makes way for four consecutive road matches, as Huntingdon travels to face MUW, Sewanee, LaGrange, and Asbury through the midway point of the month. The regular season comes to a close on October 24th at home for Huntingdon, as the Hawks host Belhaven University in the finale. Last season, the Blazers eliminated the Hawks from the CCS tournament in the quarterfinal round before falling to the eventual conference champions, the Maryville Scots. The 2026 Collegiate Conference Championship tournament begins on October 28th, with the top 6 teams qualifying for the tournament.
