Men's Tennis Falls To Brevard In Season-Opener
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Opening their season 2025 campaign at home, Huntingdon men's tennis welcomed the Tornadoes of Brevard College to the George S. Gibbs Tennis Center.
The Hawks would go on to fall 6-1, with their sole point coming from freshman Tyler Garcia in his singles match victory. See below for the comprehensive singles and doubles results.
Doubles
- Lane Young and Tyler Garcia defeated Hayden LeBlanc and Bryce Bernitt 6-3
- Owen Wheelock and Sage Speer fell to Ethan McGee and Noah Lewis 7-6 with a 7-4 tiebreaker
- Lawson Pearson and Clayton Philley were defeated by Ayden Montero and Noah Boyles 6-2
Singles
- Lane Young was defeated by Hayden LeBlanc 6-2 in both sets
- Tyler Garcia defeated Bryce Bernitt 6-3 and 6-4
- Owen Wheelock was defeated by Ayden Montero 6-3 and 6-1
- Lawson Pearson was defeated by Noah Boyles in three sets, dropping the first 6-3, winning the second 7-5, before falling 10-4 in the tiebreaker
- Sage Speer was defeated by Nathan Bookout 6-4 and 6-2
- Clayton Philley was defeated by Ethan McGee 6-3 and 6-2
The Hawks look to bounce back tomorrow, February 15th, at home against MUW. Matches are set to begin at 11:00 AM.
