Men's Tennis Downed At MUW

COLUMBUS, Miss. Looking to follow up on their win at home against LaGrange a day ago, Huntingdon Men's Tennis couldn't find their stride today, falling to the Owls of the Mississippi University for Women 5-2 in a non-conference match. See below for the comprehensive doubles and singles results.

Doubles

1. Tyler Garcia and Clay Philley were defeated by Jorge Ortiz and Juan Garcia 6-1
2. William Massey and Lincoln Young defeated Alvaro Bardales and Ian Coastabel 6-3
3. Zach Cox and Sage Speer were defeated by Marcos Fernandez and Sandro Giagregorio 6-3

Singles

1. William Massey defeated Juan Garcia, falling in the first set 6-2, but recovering for a 6-4 win in the second with a tiebreaker of 8
2. Tyler Garcia was defeated by Marcos Fernandez in three sets, falling in the first 6-2, winning the second 6-1, but losing the third 10-3
3. Lincoln Young was defeated by Alvaro Bardales 7-6(tiebreaker of 2) and 6-1
4. Zach Cox defeated Josh Cooper 6-4 and 6-1
5. Sage Speer was defeated by Sandro Giagregorio 6-3 and 6-2
6. Clay Philley was defeated by Dylan Barber 6-1 and 6-2
