Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete Of The Week: Zach Cox
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- After his victory at #5 singles clinched Huntingdon Men's Tennis' first match victory over Belhaven since 2009, senior Zach Cox has been recognized as the Alabama Power Huntingdon Student Athlete of the Week.
Cox, a senior from Panama City, Florida, defeated Belhaven's Briley Oakes in two sets(6-2 and 6-4) to clinch the Hawks first CCS win of the season and first victory over the Blazers in 17 years. With his final season wearing the Scarlet and Grey hits the home stretch, the accounting major already has his plans for the future, as Zach will be attending the University of West Florida upon the completion of his undergraduate degree for a master's degree.
Huntingdon Tennis will recognize the program's seniors, Cox and Lilly Brown, on April 17th prior to the women's match against Agnes Scott at 11:30 AM CT.
