Alex Cole Promoted To Head Cross Country And Track And Field Coach

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Effective June 1st, 2025, Huntingdon Athletics has announced that current assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach, Alex Cole, will be promoted to head coach of the program. Ed Wright, the current head coach, will stay on as Cole's assistant coach to help further guide the program.

A 2022 graduate of Huntingdon College with a degree in Sports Management and minor in History, Cole was a member of the track and cross-country teams from 2018-2022, serving as the team's captain for all four seasons. He joined the Huntingdon coaching staff in 2022 and has served as the program's assistant coach since, assisting in coaching the program's first two track and field conference champions(Caden Howard- 2023 High Jump, Rory Gilroy-2025 110m and 400m Hurdles), as well as the program's all-time performance leader in cross country, Mac Brooks 24'.
