Hubbard Named CCS Softball Player Of The Week

ATLANTA, Ga.- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.

For the first time this season, Maddie Grace Hubbard has been recognized as the conference's Player of the Week.

Hubbard delivered a standout performance to help lead Huntingdon to a perfect 4-0 weekend, capping off the regular season in dominant fashion. The junior third baseman hit a blistering .714 at the plate, collecting 10 hits in 14 at-bats. She scored eight runs, drove in four, and added three doubles and a triple to her stat line. Hubbard also stole a base and was a consistent presence on the basepaths as the Hawks earned key victories over regional rival Berry and conference foe Wesleyan.

With the Hawks finalizing their regular season at Wesleyan, Huntingdon awaits news of the official seeding surrounding the upcoming Collegiate Conference of the South tournament beginning on April 28th and continuing through May 3rd.
