Hawks Downed By Piedmont

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Returning to Samford Stadium following their loss at Pfeiffer this past weekend, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse couldn't hit their stride, falling 23-1 to the hands of the Piedmont University Lions.

Kate Hudson scored the Hawks' lone goal in the first quarter off an assist from Reagan Barrett. Huntingdon finished with five shots and two shots on goal, while the Lions held advantages in shots (46–5), ground balls (28–13), and draw controls (25–3). Kendall Hallas and Sydney Mikula combined for seven saves in goal for the Hawks. The Lions opened things with an 8-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back, as Huntingdon fell to 1-5(0-2) on the season.

The Hawks will look to bounce back on Saturday, March 14th at home as they host Methodist University for a conference showdown. Gametime is set for 11:00 AM CT.
