RALEIGH, NC.- In search of their fourth consecutive USA South victory, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse hit the road for a matchup with the predicted conference champions, Meredith College, falling 24-1 in a battle with the Avenging Angels.
The Hawks faced immediate pressure, with Meredith opening the game on a 12-0 run in the first quarter. Huntingdon's defense saw heavy volume throughout, as goalkeeper Kendall Hallas recorded eight saves while facing 30+ shots on goal.
Despite the early deficit, Huntingdon broke through in the second quarter when Reagan Barrett found the back of the cage for the team's lone goal, capitalizing on one of the Hawks' limited offensive opportunities.
Kaylee Tisdale led the effort on the draw with five controls, while Huntingdon finished with 13 ground balls as a team. However, the Hawks couldn't overcome the slow start, dropping to 4-7(3-4 USA South) on the year.
The Hawks will look to bounce back tomorrow, April 12th at William Peace. Gametime is set for 2:00 PM CT.
