Hawks Roll On The Road At William Peace

RALEIGH, NC.- Responding in a big way following their loss at Meredith yesterday, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse led from end-to-end in a 15-2 win over the Pacers of William Peace University.

The Hawks controlled the game from the opening draw, jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter. Reagan Barrett set the tone early, scoring three times in the period, while Molly Turnan added a goal to give Huntingdon firm control.

That momentum carried into the second quarter as Huntingdon poured in six more goals to take a commanding 10-1 halftime lead. Barrett continued her standout day, while Turnan, Payton Hill, and Bayleigh Pitts all contributed during the surge.

After William Peace opened the third-quarter scoring, Huntingdon quickly responded with a pair of free-position goals to maintain a double-digit advantage. The Hawks then closed out the game with three more goals in the fourth, including two from Turnan, to seal the 15-2 win.

Barrett led all scorers with seven goals and three assists, while Turnan added five goals and three assists in a strong all-around effort. Hill chipped in a goal and two assists, and Pitts finished with a goal and an assist as Huntingdon showcased its offensive depth.

Defensively, the Hawks limited William Peace to just eight shots on the day. Kendall Hallas earned the win in goal with two saves over the first half, while Sydney Mikula handled the second half as Huntingdon controlled possession throughout.

The Hawks return home for Senior Day on April 15th against Southern Virginia. Gametime is set for 11:00 AM CT with the ceremony taking place pre-game.
