Hawks Fall In First Round Of USA South Tournament At Methodist

FAYETTEVILLE, NC.- Entering the tournament as the #6 seed, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse saw their season come to an end in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament, falling 24-2 to the #3 seeded Methodist University Monarchs.

Methodist flew out of the gates, taking a 12-2 lead by the end of the first quarter.  Payton Hill opened the scoring for Huntingdon on a free-position goal, while Reagan Barrett later added a goal, but the Hawks were limited to just four shots in the contest. Methodist controlled possession throughout, outshooting Huntingdon 38-4 and winning the draw control battle 19-8. Kendall Hallas and Sydney Mikula combined for eight saves in goal, but Huntingdon could not overcome the Monarchs' hot shooting, falling 24-2.
