Women's Tennis Falls To Piedmont
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Returning to CCS action at the George S. Gibbs Tennis Center, Huntingdon Women's Tennis secured a point, but couldn't complete the comeback in a 6-1 loss at the hands of the Piedmont University Lions. See below for the comprehensive doubles and singles results from today's match.
Doubles
- Lilly Brown and Katie-John Crow defeated Caroline Morrison and Kaleigh Stallworth 7-6(7-3)
- Athens DeVer and Ansley Lanier were defeated by Ella Kate Canady and Sarah Sanabia 6-2
- Dalyce Sanders and Anna Beth Adams were defeated by Sarah Row and Brooklyn Bolch 6-1
Singles
- Lilly Brown was defeated by Kaleigh Stallworth in three sets, dropping the first 6-2, winning the second 6-4, but losing the third 6-0
- Dalyce Sanders defeated Caroline Morrison in three sets, falling in the first 6-3 before winning the next two 7-6(7-4) and 12-10
- Ella Kate Canady defeated Katie-John Crow 6-0 in each set
- Hattie Sloyan defeated Ansley Lanier 6-2 and 6-0
- Jordan Ballard defeated Anna Beth Adams 6-4 and 6-0
- Olivia Carpenter defeated Athens DeVer 6-1 in each set
