Lilly Brown Named First Team All-CCS, Mazza Chosen For All-Sportsmanship
MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- With the postseason underway, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has announced its 2026 Women’s Tennis postseason award winners, as voted on by the head coaches across the league. Asbury’s Katherine Nova earned Player of the Year honors following a standout sophomore campaign, while Covenant’s Maisie Tanchanpongs was named Rookie of the Year. Piedmont head coach Trey Martin was selected as Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive year after leading the Lions to another undefeated run through conference play.
For the second season in a row, Huntingdon's Lilly Brown was chosen as a first team all-conference selection, while Angelina Mazza was named to the conference's all-sportsmanship team.
Brown, native to Guntersville, Alabama, pieced together a tremendous senior season for the Scarlet and Grey. Playing through a hip injury, Lilly closed the regular season with a 7-6 record in singles, while teaming up with Katie-John Crow for a 10-10 doubles record, playing in the #1 spot in both. Her leadership, in addition to her success on the court, was vital to the Hawks success this season.
Hailing from Boca Raton, Florida, junior Angelina Mazza's selection to the all-sportsmanship team is the second of her career. A dual sport athlete(soccer and tennis), her contribution's to the team, both on and off the court, provided key support for the Hawks all season long.
