Track And Field Debuts At The Vulcan Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Taking to the track for the first time this season, Huntingdon Track and Field made their 2026 season debut at the Vulcan Invite hosted by UAB at the renowned Birmingham Crossplex. 

Competing in a field of 19 total teams, the Hawks saw solid performances across the board in their first time out. The women were led by junior thrower Trinity Treadway. The Destin, Florida native placed top 15 in each of her events, claiming 11th in the shot put with a mark of 9.16 meters and 14th in the weight throw with a mark of 9.49 meters. The 4x400m relay te/am consisting of Adriana Morning, Arianna Morning, Sydney Thompson, and Michaela Moore claimed the 9th place spot with a time 5:03.28. Michaela Moore joined on the success with top-20 finishes in both the 800m and the mile while Toni Taylor and Amberly Bennett followed Treadway closely in each throwing event. 

As for the men, the Hawks were led by a quartet of Marcus Malone, Javerious Askew, Jaylan Roberts, and Mackenzy Crawford. Malone gathered a 10th place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.57 meters before taking 12th in the high jump. Askew saw an 11th place mark in the high jump and a 10th place spot in the long jump with a mark of 6.41 meters, while Roberts claimed 16th in the 60m hurdles and Crawford took 17th in the 400m dash with a time of 53.18 seconds.
