Hawks Soar At The UAB Invite
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Traveling to the Birmingham Crossplex for their third consecutive meet, Huntingdon Track and Field performed well at the UAB Invite.
The Hawks top performance of the day belonged to Javerious Askew of the men's team in the high jump. The Dadeville, Alabama native finished 12th in the standings with a mark of 1.89 meters, a new personal record. Former CCS champion Rory Gilroy made his first showing of the season, taking 20th in both the 60m hurdles and the 200m in his debut. Jackson Rinehart and Mackenzy Crawford also pieced together solid outings to round out Huntingdon's male performances on the day.
As for the women, Michaela Moore's 28th finish in the 3000m led the way. Evie Garrett followed closely behind with a time of 3:01 in the 600m contributed to the Hawks solid outing with Toni Taylor, Amberly Bennett, Arianna Morning, and Sydney Thompson each setting personal record in their respective events to close things out.
The Hawks will return to the Crossplex one final time on February 14th to close out their 2026 Indoor Track Season at the Bulldog Open.
