Bennett Brings Home CCS Field Rookie Of The Week

ATLANTA, Ga.- Following the 5th week of competition in Women's Track and Field across the Collegiate Conference of the South, Huntingdon's Amberly Bennett has been recognized as the league's Field Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. 

Bennett competed across four throwing events at the Doc Anderson Invitational and Multi. The freshman recorded marks of 9.56 meters in the shot put, 29.01 meters in the discus, 30.14 meters in the hammer throw, and 19.90 meters in the javelin. Bennett placed within the top 10 in each event.

Bennett and the Hawks return to action this Friday, April 10th, at the Berry Field Day Invitational.
