Cross Country Takes On The Twilight At John Hunt Park

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- Keeping within the Alabama state limits for the third consecutive week, Huntingdon Cross Country traveled north to compete in the Twilight race at John Hunt Park, competing against several teams throughout all three NCAA Divisions, NAIA, and the junior college level. 

The women's team saw their best competition to date this season, recording a team score of 373 to take 13th in the meet. Michaela Moore continued her excellent season thus far, crossing the finish line in 22:09, placing 47th in a field of 126. Evie Garrett followed closely behind with a season-best time of 25:49 to take 91st in the meet, with Hadyn Owens, Sydney Thompson, Adrianna Morning, and Arianna Morning closing things out for the Hawks. 

The men's team saw a 17th place finish in the field of 18 teams, scoring 531 total points. Freshman Hayes Brockett continued to lead the way for the Hawks with Levi Garrett, Jameson Jessup, Dylan Horton, and Grayson York rounding out the top 5. 

The Hawks return to the course on October 4th, traveling to compete at Berry College.
