LEBANON, Tenn.- Extending their win streak to three on the weekend, Huntingdon Women's Flag Football improved to 7-2 on the year with a double-header sweep of the Cumberland Phoenix and King University Tornadoes, winning each contest 7-6 and 39-6, respectively.
Game one v. Cumberland
Huntingdon pulled ahead in the third quarter with a 66-yard, six-play drive capped by a touchdown and 1-point conversion pass from Kennedi Young. The team's offense totaled 216 yards, including 200 passing yards from Young, and balanced contributions in the rushing and receiving game, led by Kylah Rome (9 catches, 89 yards) and Alyssa Llanos (32 yards). Defensively, Huntingdon recorded four sacks, three tackles for loss, and an interception by Aaliyah Richard, limiting Cumberland to just 95 total yards.
