Hawks Roll Past Andrew On Senior Day

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Taking to Charles Lee Field at Samford Stadium for the last time this season, Huntingdon Women's Flag Football cruised past Andrew College en route to a 58-0 win on Senior Day. 

Prior to the start of this afternoon's game, Huntingdon recognized the first senior class in Hawks Flag Football history for their contributions both on and off the field. This year's seniors are:

The Hawks wasted no time setting the tone, as Kennedi Young opened the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run and added the conversion pass to make it 7-0 early in the first quarter. Moments later, Tamiyah Carter connected with Alyssa Llanos for an eight-yard touchdown strike, extending the lead to 14-0. Young stayed in rhythm through the air, finding Kelis Russell for a 15-yard score to push the advantage to 20-0 by the end of the opening period.

Huntingdon continued to pour it on in the second quarter, with Carter showcasing her versatility. She broke free for a 16-yard rushing touchdown, then added another scoring run from nine yards out. In between, Young tossed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Imani Bentley, helping the Hawks take a commanding 38-0 lead into halftime.

The momentum carried into the second half as Huntingdon's offense showed no signs of slowing. Carter led a methodical drive capped by a scoring sequence that ended with Kylah Rome finding the end zone, while another quick strike later in the quarter pushed the lead past the 50-point mark. The Hawks added one final touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the 58-0 rout.

Carter was electric on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries, while also adding a passing score. Young was efficient through the air, completing 12-of-18 passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns, while also contributing a rushing score.

The receiving corps was balanced and productive, with Russell (40 yards, TD), Llanos (26 yards, TD), Bentley (25 yards, TD), and De'Aysia Williams (27 yards, TD) all finding the end zone. Rome added four receptions and a touchdown as part of the offensive outburst.

Defensively, the Hawks were just as impressive, holding Andrew College to only 42 total yards and two first downs on the day. Huntingdon forced two interceptions, with Tierra Russell returning one for 11 yards, and added a sack from Sincere JohnsJaquelle Tucker led the defensive effort with eight tackles as the Hawks kept the Tigers off the scoreboard for the entirety of the contest.

In total, Huntingdon outgained Andrew College 270-42 and controlled every phase of the game, turning in one of its most complete performances of the season in the shutout victory.

The Hawks close out the 2026 season on April 11th, squaring off with Milligan and LaGrange in a tri-match at LaGrange.
